Luckily my FMIL doesn't cook - so even my worst meals seem like gourmet creations - anything homemade has to beat the diner, right?

Same with me! FH is always thrilled when I make dinner since his mom doesn't cook unless she absolutely has to!

I wish i was so lucky. Fh's mom and dad are amazing cooks. They even make home made sauce, well his whole family does. Fh even refuses to eat sauce out of a jar lol he just cant Even my dad who is a huge food fanatic and ALWAYS eating out at amazing restaurants ate FFIL's eggplant parm and said it was the best he ever had.

So yeah its hard for me. BUT fh is sick of italian food so at home hes just like UGH i dont want that, hes crazy bc i get excited when i see home made pasta with meatballs, eggplant parm and all that good stuff-i LOVE IT. For some reason FH LOOOVES my cooking, he gets so excited when i say ill cook dinner and everytime after always says how good it was and he prefers me to make him certain things. Even my mom laughs and says WOW joe really loves your cooking huh like alot i cook well, but definitely dont comprae with his parents cooking, they're awesome.

I do have to learn how to make his mothers sauce though, so going to have her teach me soon.

I am hoping my mom will continue to teach me because right now his favorite dishes that I make are chili and Sloppy Joes... not too chic chef!
