We are having an outdoor wedding with a Star Wars theme, lol. The best thing we are doing, I think, is instead of bubbles or birdseed, we are releasing balloons with postcards attatched at the end of the ceremony. Can't wait to see how many come back!
The only advice I can give you is make sure there is enough shade. It can get a bit warm in June, or maybe have those parasols that people give to their guests.

We are having an outdoor wedding, most likely in August. Do you have any ideas on how to keep people cool for the ceremony? The reception site we like serves drinks right up until the ceremony, but do you think little fans or parasols might be nice?

I saw these fans that also have the program for the ceremony on them. They are so cute. I am not sure where but I have seen them a lot so look online and post something. If I was having my ceremony outside I would totally use them.

My cocktail hour is outside and inside. the reception is officially inside, but the recep. room has frech doors which lead outside...so there can be some movement!

i am having an out door ceremony - on the beach. my cocktail hour is indoor/outdoor..
we are not doing the fan programs.. they wanted 3 dollars each.. we are instead doing a beach shell program.. and they cost me 11 dollars for 100.. LOL..

We might buy the fans from oriental trading, they have super cheap ones online. your ceremony won't be too long, so need to worry about people sweating too much. you will probably sweat the most, you will have the most clothing on!!!

We're having ours outside,
We're stil debating what we're going to do about tents. We have a lot of trees in our yard, so we would need to get a bunch of smaller tents scattered about. I would really love to just have the tables and chair with no tents.
any ideas?

I would get atleast 1 tent to keep the food under, unless you have a spot away from the trees to avoid the chance of bugs. Other then that I don't see a need for tents if you don't like the look, perhaps a few tables with umbrellas for people that don't like the sun?
