I was just reading the post on putting dates on E party favors and realized I hadn't even thought about favors for our E party. I'm not throwing it, FMIL is. It's fairly casual, back yard type of party but I think the food is being catered and there are a lot of people invited. So now you have me wondering, am I supposed to provide the favors (not that I mind at all if I am)? Also, can you girls give me some ideas for favors? I'm not really into nick-nacks that people will throw away, so maybe something edible? It probably shouldn't be too eloborate for an E party right? Thanks!

Re: Ideas for Engagement Party Favors?
i made chocolate lollipops for my e-party favors....however i would be nervous that if u are doing a backyard thing in the summer they might melt unless you don't give them out until ppl are leaving.

My mom did those personalized m&m's in little organza bags. They were really cute and you could put the date on them if you want.

Re: Ideas for Engagement Party Favors?
We're having a beachy theme, so we got an assortment of beachy items: coozies w/ tropical islands on them, decks of flip flop cards, seashell keychains, seashell bookmarks, seashell bath soap, seashell coasters. And everyone can pick their favor as they leave!

Re: Ideas for Engagement Party Favors?
we did engageMINTS. ordered them online. just had to put the mints in the tin (came with it) and put the sticker on the tin (also came with it.) then we wrapped them in a little clear bag - i definitely suggest this.. they dont really stay closed that well.
everyone loved them!

Re: Ideas for Engagement Party Favors?
We're having a Yankee themed eparty. Our favors are: peanuts wrapped in cellophane tied together w/ yankee colored ribbons and a personalized favor tags w/ our names. We're also having cracker jack boxes that i'm putting personalized tags on.
If you have a theme, it would be cute to do something that goes with your theme!

Re: Ideas for Engagement Party Favors?
I'm having a beach theme for my eparty in August and am doing Guylian seashell shapped hazelnut prailine chocolates..they come in boxes of 3 or 6..I went with one box of 3 for each person, not couple. I think i'm just going to tie a ribbon around them and put a personalized tag on them. They're really cute and yummy =]

Re: Ideas for Engagement Party Favors?
We're having a backyard (catered) BBQ at the end of August. Our favors are favor boxes with Hershey Hugs & Kisses inside with little stickers on the bottom of the chocolates with our names. A tag attached to the box with curling ribbon will say 'Hugs & Kisses from the Future Mr. & Mrs.' I think each favor will be about $1, maybe more depending on if we sticker all the chocolates (75 favors or so).
