IDEAS for place cards help

I want something unquie cheap and different for how ppl will find their names for where to sit.... any ideas

Hey- I was going to do a seating chart 'scroll'- there's a pic in my album...I think they go for like $250.00 or so...

i saw it in a review on here somewhere that they had votive candles as their placecards.. looked really nice all lit up! i'll try and find it..

i am going to make jordan almond flowers and tie the place card to the 'stem', along with the poem about the significance of the almonds

Here is what I did. The boxes were contained ferrer rochers - 2 each.

do you want the placecard to also be the favor? If so, here are some ideas:

Lucky bamboo plant ($1.50 per stick online, perhaps cheaper in chinatown). You could print placecard tags on your computer and then tie them around the plant.

Apples/pears/other fruits based on your color theme.

Or you can do general tent placecards. They are cheap and you can print them on your own computer.

do you have a theme? I ahve seen it where if someone had a fall theme they had lady apples with tags with the person's name on a tag, or use the favor to tie the name and table number too.

I am having a vineyard theme, so I am using corks as card holders. These are super cheap. You can get over 100 for like 20 bucks on ebay. Or you can ask friends/family to save them for you. That's what I was initially doing, but for 20 bucks, I'm just going to buy new, clean corks.

I have a fall theme, and I plan on attaching the placecards to gourds. I'm even thinking of writing everyones names on the gourds instead of attaching the cards....this gourd thing may be a better idea in my head than in person. Just a thought :)

LMAO! That isn't my picture. It's a picture I got from someone else on LIW. I know a John Walker, too...but he spells his name 'Johnnie'.

We're doing a manifesto (where the guests are told where they sit upon entering) sooo that is free and very easy!

And I think it's classy too :)

We have a comic theme for our wedding and I'm making the placecards using artist sketch cards(they are trading card size cards artist use) with sketches we had done of us. I plan on getting little easels like below to place them on.

we wanted to do that for our e-party.. but did something that ended up costing us... $50.00!!!

we took our favorite black and white epic and using publisher we listed the names and table numbers over our picture. Saved it to a flash drive, took it to staples and had it blown up and laminated (we didn't really NEED it laminated) that cost us $13.00
then we went to michaels and bought a picture frame for $25.00 (sale) and framed it.. then FH went and bought an easel which we painted black.. i think that was $10.00

EVERYONE LOVED it... except my mother who felt it was 'in the way' but that's because she's a negative bi t ch who can't be happy for her only daughter- sorry venting.

but yea... i should try and find a pic of it and put it in my album- right now its under my bed... we might us it again for the wedding... just make a new list and use a diff pic.
