My friend needs a transplant for her Leukemia, the hospital requires her to make an attempt at raising money. Can anyone share some more simple ideas that may work?

OMG I'm so sorry to hear this.
I lost my cousin to Leukemia last year & we had many benefits to help her & her family. One thing the neighbors did was to have a really nice gift basket auction (like a Chinese Auction). They has many local restaurants, shops, etc... donate gift certificates to be put into the baskets. They also had a huge Garage Sale on their block which raised a nice amount of money. I work at a spa & organized a 'spa day' for the family - we did massages. manicures & pedicures & all the money went straight to their growing medical bills. I collected gift cert's from all the local businesses to raffle off as well. It was a great success.

This is a great idea....one idea that will go over well is a GC to a gas station as gas prices are so high these days.

My brother had leukemia (12 years cancer free now!) and we did the jello jump, swimathons, many different things to raise money. FM for any details!
