I am looking for ideas of what to throw instead of rice. It is a good possibility that it will be below freezing, so bubbles may be difficult... any ideas?

Rose petals are very common, as well as bird seed, some people make those streamer things that people wave, or give people sparklers!
ETA: maybe you could throw a white type of confetti so that it looks like snow??!!

i bought tons of fake snow i am having my flower girls sprinkle it instead of rose petals...but i liked the sparklers idea plus you are getting married later in the day so it will be dark i just like the way they look in pic's so pretty
