IDEAS Please! Vineyards

so this week is my Birthday and I would like to go do something. Y Sisters bff is getting married Sat so I cant plan anything for this weekend at night really so I was thinking maybe to go to a Vineyard with a Restaurant and go for a nice lunch. To be honest I have never been out there!


Any ideas?

Vinyard 48 is the most fun vinyard I have ever been out east....they have a DJ and a ton of tables to sit and eat at! Maybe get a limo?? It turns into a wine tasting-party!

This and Baiting Hollow is really fun plus the vodka distellery (sp?) is next door and you can do some vodka tastings!

Id eat at the cooperage inn if i was out there but sometimes its better just to bring food and eat at the wineries.

just there yesterday!!

Sparkling Point is gorgeous and they do champanges

Duck Walk, Osprey dominion, Jamesport Vineyard, and Pellgrini all have live music on the wknds.

Martha clara is nice, with a big outdoor rocking chair seating area.

stick to Route 48 they have more vineyards in a close area

Really? Everyone who has ever gone there always has amazing things to say...it's more of a fun, young atmosphere. I personally loved it (and so did the girls I went with!)

we used this company before and it was amazing!

nyc wine tours

it was so much fun! for $75pp you get lunch, a party bus and you go to 3-4 different wineries. HTH!

If you want fun/dancing, you can head to Claudios in Greenport (check that they are open during the week, not sure).

Also, I LOVEEEEEE Croteaux - they are 100% rose and they have a really cute barn-esque area.

I personally think VIneyard 48 has un-drinkable wine. It's literally disgusting.

That being said, it IS the most fun vineyard. The dj and dancing is a good time.

ITA with this!!!

I did like baiting hollow too (went on a wine tour for my bach party)....baiting hollow has yummy wine and a young crowd with outdoor seating.

contact metro limo if you want to set something up...i found them most reasonably priced and they were amazing! FM if you want more info

Baiting Hollow also has food available there to buy, it's ok nothing great.

you can pack a cooler and bring it anywhere with you, we like to go to the cheese shoppe on love lane in mattituck and get fresh yummy cheese and crackers for a snack

there is also a store on love lane called Baur's that has vera bradley's (a lot of times they are on sale) if your into that

Peconic Bay (really fun time)
and Lenz (my favorite for wine)
both are on 25

On 48 (sound avenue)
I like baiting hollow, macari and have to say not in love with Vineyard 48 only b/c I worked there for a summer and HATED it.

sooo many places, claudios--our on the warf they have a band sat and sunday from 2-6 and a band sat night

agree wine not so good but great time...go there after you've had a couple of glasses of wine
