If a person is too available, will that make them less attractive or be taken for granted?

had a major debate with FH and his friend... Sooooooo Do you still think that the opposite sex really lose interest if we make ourselves too available?

If a woman is always available when a man asks her for a date, or always texts him back right away..answers his calls, etc. as opposed to having him wait before she gets back to him....does he really lose interest?

I thought we were pass the stage of RULES and games .....Kids play games.....adults don't, right?

It's definitely true, in regards to that beginning time period. I know when I was dating, guys who were too available always came off very needy to me.... Just my thoughts!

I always loved a challenge! Someone who was too available.. TURN OFF!!!

My mom would tell me the same thing. I think its human nature to want what you can't have, but that stuff only works in the beginning...it has to come to a point of comfort where those games aren't necessary anymore....

Another word of advice from my mom.....always make sure a man loves you just a little more than you love him. It worked for her for over 30 years :)

I think this is def true in the beginning stages of dating

but at this point in a relationship(engaged) we should be feeling secure and comfortable, no need to play games

I know I certainly don't and neither does FH

Games are for kids. I like no drama, so I keep it real with FH. I love him very much, and he loves me very much too, and we're both available whenever we need each other.

havent you heard of playing hard to get? people always want what they cant have ! If FH and I didnt play games in the beg we wouldnt be together now lol. You cant be desperate !!!

But now no we do not play games at all.. there is no need because we are engaged ! However, you always want to keep them guessing !

I think so. There is always something about the game in the beginning of a relationship. When there is no mystery its boring.
I dated this guy for a little while before FH, and he was always around. Always texting right back, calling me back instantly, always available for dates. It was weird and I felt like he was waaaayy too eager. However, if he ignored me a little bit more, I probably would have loved it.
People are funny.

FH was always whining in the beginning about why I never call him ( I don't really call anybody since I'm not a phone person). And FH really had to work to catch me because I was a complete commitmentphobe and not looking for a relationship. So for him, the chase was probably a challenge and worked to my advantage.

For me, it's the opposite. I LIKE it when guys really like me and aren't afraid to show it. I always despised the 'wait three days to call' rule and was always pleasantly impressed if a guy called me the night of or the day after a date.

I've dropped guys who were too unavailable because I didn't think they were interested and didn't want to be the aggressor.

Its in my nature to be blunt and up front, so no...I never played games with DH and he didn't play them with me. We were always available to each other and I was VERY frank with him, telling him pretty much at the beginning of our relationship that I thought we could be something real and if he wasn't into that then he should get while the gettin was good.

He didn't, obviously :D

I totally agree, but when you first start dating, I think you have to play the game.

At least those are my experiences.
