If a vendor lied on your contract....
Can you get your deposit back? If so, how do I go about getting it back? The vendor blatantly lied about how many weddings a day they handle and it is stated on the contract that they handle only one.

I don't know if it would be worth the cost of taking them to court. Does the contract state 'NEVER' more than one wedding a day? Or does it say 'NEVER' more than one at once? Sometimes they can be tricky in the wording. Whatever they said to you cannot be held in court, so it depends on how specific the contractual language is. We just had a huge issue with a company we were buying a co-op from, and though we had voice mail messages verifying a verbal contract for a specific apartment, the verbal contract won't hold up in court (we went to see a great lawyer, but lawyers are so expensive that even to pay them for the hours to read and go over the contract with you would be expensive. How much $ did you put down already?
If they handle more than one - then that is a breach of contract- as of now there is no breach though - the breach would occur after your wedding -
So I would pursue this after the wedding???
Which hall is this? I don't actually know of any that I saw that guarantee only 1 a day (mine is one at a time, but there can be afternoon, then evening weddings).
atticaqt is right the breach wouldn't occur until after the wedding. The question is yes they lied I guess what does this mean to you? How does it affect you? Is there some detriment to you if they do more than one wedding in a day? Or are you just unhappy that you are not the only one?
