If anyone can help me.......

I've been asking for so much advice lately and everyone has been so helpful! I wonder if anyone knows of a space I can rent for a small wedding. I am looking to get married Dec. 26 and am having difficulty finding a RH that will do just a cocktail reception (hor d'oevres, champagne,cake) for 75- 100 people. That date is a Sat. and I really want it as it was my parent's anniversary and I just lost my Mom last year. All of the places I have tried wan t more people and a full dinner for a Saturday. I am trying now to find a unique space with a warm, cozy feel to it and a fireplace and having it catered myself. No one I know has a home that would accomodate that many people.

Have you looked into any of the local country clubs, yacht clubs, or even VFW's or Knights of Columbus?

Have you tried asking about day weddings on Saturdays? Or a brunch? They may be more willing to accomodate a smaller party that way.

I understand sticking to your guns about the date, I did the same thing. Good luck, I hope you find what you want!.

And I might have suggested this to you already, but try Crestwood Manor. The place is small, pretty, and they only do one at a time.
AND OH I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but try Vetro. It's by Russo's ont he Bay and the room holds a max of 90 people so the guarantee won't be a problem and he's super flexible. Don't know if it's the aesthetic you're looking for, but it'll be an awesome party if you can work something out there with Mr. Russo.

Don't be shy about asking for what you want, by the way, you'd be surprised the concessions people are willing to make if you ask and the wrost they can say is no. Good luck, again!

I had my outdoor garden wedding at Queens Botanical Garden. However, there is an indoor RH that can hold up to 60ppl. It was just newly rennovated last year with dance floor, lighting and stage. It also includes 6 tables with chairs. Add'l rental req. and catering. There's also a kitchen with fridge & amentities at the back entrance. Contact Clare Del Monaco, she's a sweetheart. She's extremely helpful and goes out of her way for our wedding coordination! The garden is truly an amazing place for any type of wedding! For photos and info, you can click on my profile. I'm pretty sure my RH does cocktail hours like that.
and I know it can accommodate you room-wise (as long as their not booked).
