IF ANYONE IS USING FLUERAFINA PLEASE READ

I had booked my sisters flowers through Fluerafina almost a year ago for April 2008. We also were told we could order invitations so we had been making phone calls and emails to them for One Month no one had returned our call. So I went there today to find out that the showroom was empty and looked like they had gone out of business. We had already signed a contract with them and left a deposit. Pleas be AWARE!

FIRST of all the name of the company is Fleurs de Florissima, and if you paid attention you would know that they have moved their showroom to their Dix Hills location. if you call the answering maching says this....

I think she's talking about a different florist...if you take a look at the LIW florists, fleurafina is listed as one of them...

They're on the vendor pages.

I have a call out to my friend who happens to be good friends with the owner. She didn't know of anything but she was calling her husband to find out. I will let you guys know when she gets back to me. I am sorry to hear that this happened to you. You definitely deserve an explanation!

Well I am sorry to say he did go out of business a few weeks ago! I know he was really sick and the stress was not helping, I told my friend to try to find out about people who have left deposits with them. I have personally met the owner once and he seemed like a really nice guy so it is hard for me to comprehend how no one was notified and their money returned. I am sure they are in the process of tying up loose ends. If I hear anything else I promise to report back to you ladies. I am sorry I don't have better news.

Re: IF ANYONE IS USING FLUERAFINA PLEASE READ

My daughter had gone to Fleurafina when they were in Farmingdale and liked Rich very much. We were trying to get another appt with him to possibly book and were told that they were moving. After several phone messages that were left unanswered, I finally got in touch with a girl who said she was there just to take messages. I personally knew a bride whose wedding was 12/1 that was booked with him. She told me that he moved to Copiague inside a nursery. i am sorry ...the name escapes me now but it is on Montauk Hwy. She said she got nervous when she heard he left Farmingdale so she drove to Copaigue and saw that he was there. But they still didn't return our calls.
We were told by a different florist that they didn't move but were going out of business. We thought it was just spite work talking about another business but were just too nervous to pursue booking with Fleurafina. We booked elsewhere, thankfully.
All I can say is try contacting the nursery in Copaigue for some assistance. I hope this info helps

From what I know Rich is no longer in the floral business. I believe he is working with a butcher now. I too booked elsewhere thankfully but for reasons which had nothing to do with the florist itself.

Jumping the gun much...
I would keep calling, sooner or later there may actually be a message telling you what to do next. Did you look in all the windows, sometimes when a company goes out of business they will put a sign up teling you who/how to contact someone.

Good Luck, I hope your sister gets her money back or find out what is going on
