I loved it when I went to see it. I walked around and was cying the whole time because it was sooo perfect.
The only thing wrong was I couldnt afford it. If I had the $$ I would have booked right there and then!!!

In the 5 months I've been a part of these boards, I still haven't heard one bad thing....except for the price, of course. It is one of the more expensive halls--but so worth it.

Youve been there I guess... Besides the amazing grounds what did you like about the place, people and food?

Not only have I been there---if you look at the hall pix thread--those are all my pics. We walked in there and knew right away that Land's End was the place for us--it didn't matter what the price was, we'd find a way.
The grounds are absolutely amazing....right on the water with beautiful gardens before you hit the beach.
The interior is all hard wood floors with more than enough space to accomodate our (way to large) guest list...There is an outside cocktail area right on the water....but if the weather is bad, they set up inside and out (just in case).
The flow of the cocktail rooms is perfect--there are two different interior rooms to somewhat seperate the guest area and gives it a 'homey' feel.
The ballroom is gorgeous....down to the little detail of individual lights over the centerpieces of the tables.
Jenn, one of the BM's has been extremely helpful.....she'll answer any and all our questions in a very timely fashion.
And last, but certainly not least---the food is PHENOMENOL!!! We went for our tasting in Jan. and LOVED everything (it's not your typical wedding food).
All of that being said.....I've seen most of your posts, and unfortunately, I don't think you're going to be able to find a Saturday afternoon date for this summer that will be in the price range you're looking for. You may luck out if you take the chance of booking at the very very last minute.....but when we went in October 04 to book, the cheapest price we were quoted (and believe me, we haggled) was $105/pp for a Thursday evening in Sept or Oct....so, I have no idea what the prices may be for the summer, but I would imagine they would be more expensive, not less.
However, I would never just take someone's word for it.....definitely visit and speak with Jennifer----you may just luck out.....ya never know!!! Wish you the best of luck--feel free to FM if you want any further info.
Here is the outside:
Garden and ocean views:
Sunset view from the Bridal Suite:
Cocktail hour rooms:
Ball Room (During Day):
Sweetheart Table (Day):
Front Entrance:
Dessert and Coffee Room:

Although I did not get married there, it's the same mngmnt as the place I did get married (Flowerfield) and they are called Lovin Oven. I have to tell you that the people that work for Lovin Oven are AMAZING!!! The food is wonderful and the staff is exceptional! You can't go wrong with this place!

I got an UNREAL price actually b/c its last last minute... I just dont know that I love the inside. I have an appointment tomorrow. I like chandeliers, paintings on walls, marble danceflors etc.. Isnt there e resteraunt there? Will people be on the property eating? When you look out the window to the ocean do you see parking lot first?? I cant wait to see it! Amy

It would definitely be my pick of the places you have mentioned if it is a price in your range! Land's End is beautiful, very classy and tastefully elegant.

That's awesome that you got a great price--SO very cool!! The only thing you see from the ballroom and cocktail rooms are the gardens and the ocean. The only way you'll see the parking lot is from the balcony of the bridal suite (but it overlooks the ocean) and when exiting out the back door--that's it. Otherwise, you wouldn't even know the parking lot existed once the guests have reached the door.
The dessert/coffee room is a seperate room off the ballroom that you can choose to have open or closed during your reception. There bar are is a cappachino/espresso bar along with cordials and after-dinner drinks.
I can tell you now--if you like chandeliers, marble, and lots of 'frills' and 'cinderella-type decorations'---you probably won't fall in love with Land's End.....it's the exact opposite (which is why we fell in love).
But, I wish you lots of luck---
PS> We call Jennifer---Jennifer. lol
