I am having a hair & makeup person come to my parents' house where I'll be getting ready, but it is already going to be crowded with me, mom & dad, and 5 bridesmaids. Am I supposed to ask her to come the house also? Is it okay if I recommend a salon that is right nearby? I'm worried that if I invite her, she'll invite FHs grandma, aunts, etc.
What's the right thing to do here?

Re: If FMIL lives out of town...
My FMIL lives out of town so she's getting ready with all of us....if there isn't enough room for her, that's something else though---why don't you tell her there is room for her but not everyone else? I would also research and recommend a great place for her to get makeup and hair done nearby.

You could offer up both... tell her if she thinks it will be just her, due to space and time constraints, she can come to your house or if she thinks there will be more people (grandma, aunts etc) recommend a nearby salon and offer to make the appontments for everyone. I asked FMIL if she wanted to have her hair and makeup done with me and my mom/sister and she said she didn't want to so that makes my life easier

depends on your relationship with her.
you're not required to get ready with her. i will not be getting ready with mine. i want that time with just me, mom, grandma and my MOH.

As far as I'm concerned, she can do it herself. There's no way she's getting ready with me, because I want a calm, stress free environment.

Thanks ladies I think I'll offer to have her come to the house (as long as it's just her) but I can make her a salon appointment if not.

I think you have to invite her but let her know that its going to be tight but you want her to come. If you tell her your issue about how little room there is Im sure she wouldnt take it upon herself to invite anyone else. Good luck!
