When should I have my first fitting? Keep in mind that Thanksgiving is the week before so I lose a couple of days with that. Is Sept. too early? I thought so. What do you guys think?
TIA!!!

I think you'll be fine if you start mid October

Where I got my dress they told me my first fitting should be six weeks before the wedding.

I had my first fitting 2 months before the wedding. However, Bridal Reflections only has Saturday fittings once a month for out of state brides so I worked around their schedule. I have 3 scheduled fittings and a final pick-up. If you start your fittings earlier, make sure your last one is within 2-3 weeks of your wedding date.

I started in early June for a mid-July wedding. It didn't seem rushed at all to me, and you want to make sure the dress is going to fit you on your day. You can change rapidly, believe me. In the two weeks between my 1st and 2nd fitting, my dress was getting a bit loose.

I had my first fitting about 2 months before the wedding... that's also b/c I live out of state, but I think 1 1/2 to 2 months before is fine.
