do I really need to put a centerpiece on it? I was going to put it in the corner and fill it with little games and what not. None of them are small, small kids. I think the youngest would be 8. I thought maybe if I made a centerpiece out of one of those tulip vases and filled it with candy and twizlers and stuff, the shape would mimic my cps, but they could have fun with it. Is that stupid? Maybe I am just thinking weird because I'm tired

i love the candy idea for the kids.... the only risk is the sugar might make em bounce off the walls LOL

I don't think it's weird. Do you think they would get the candy wrappers all over the hall if you left them in the centerpiece? I'm having my 'kids' table be just like everyone else's but it's a good idea

I am doing a kids table too and did not even think about that! Thats a great idea though....You may want to check with the parents though before you put a bunch of kids at a table full of sugar! The games is definitely a good idea.

is it a table for them to do the activities at...like color and such or are they going to be eating there also? If that is going to be the only table they are at, I think you need to keep the tables consistant looking. otherwise it will look like another vendor table!

Well, all of the parents will have no problem with the sugar factor, they're all like 8, 10, 12, etc, and all my little cousins and such, so no problem with that. But maybe I will just do loose candy in dishes around the base of the centerpiece. I will probably do hand held games for them as their favors and so they'll have something to do while they're there. I guess it is silly to disrupt the flow by changing the centerpiece. It would have looked cute, though. Oh well! Thanks girls!

Re: If I am having an ALL kids table.....
This will sound insane but I LOVE my FGs. We're setting up a small kids table for 2 right next to their Mom's table (off towards on end) and we're having them cover the table with the crayola magic paper & making giant cookie centerpeices. I bought 5 inch flower cookie cutters & my friend is going to bake & decorate them the day before. Those will go in a painted tin bucket (weighted down) and stuck into foam on the bottom. We then want to put the special markers that only color on the special paper in mugs for them.
My MOH got them these awesme spill proof cups from the Disney store. Then one of my BM brothers works at Toys R Us so he got two foam Barbie chairs that have a fold out bottom & turn into sleepers. They may move them into the bridal suite as the night goes on so they can pass out in there. And most of all there will be TWO of everything so no one starts to fight over who gets what! Total cost so far (minus baking ingredients) $28.32

I was thinking of getting one of those galvanized steel buckets and putting those heart shaped lolipops in it for their centerpiece. Also their table will be between their parents' tables and the door for a convenient escape route, if you get my drift.

I am having a kids table, actually possibly 2 kids tables and I am not doing centerpieces for them. I am going to do a bowl of candy and 2 bud bowls from the cocktail hour for them!

Re: If I am having an ALL kids table.....
i haven't thought about that...thanks for kicking me in the bum to think about it. so, no, no floral centerpiece, just the basket with crayons and cards and games and books for this table.
