If I can save one bride from this hair/makeup company this post will be worth it...
I normally do not post about negative experiences but I have to say I was shocked and appalled when it came to ***** on Long Island. I contacted them after reading the reviews here. Our initial conversation was quite nice and after that, it all went downhill.
1) Every call from them was extremely patronizing, I mean they spoke to me as if I was a kindergartener.
2) Trying to schedule my trial was very difficult. We agreed on a date (the day of my engagement photo session) and then they confirmed the wrong date twice.
3) I gave them all the information they needed about the wedding day and they called me THREE different times to ask about my wedding information (from these calls I was able to gather they had another bride interested for the same date).
4) Then I called to see if they had any dates open prior to the date we had scheduled & held for my trial and I very clearly said to HOLD my trial date anyway before the phone call ended and more importantly I GAVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD TO HOLD THE TRIAL DATE (my engagement photo session). HOWEVER, when I called two days before my trial date (which is also the date that I was having my engagement photos done) they said I had canceled my trial. When I said that they had made a mistake they were rude and insulting and said they take copious notes on calls (they had the audacity to say this after all of the above happened). Are you kidding me?!
Conclusion - No way was I going to hire them for the most important day of my life. Especially after, they left me out in the cold for my engagement photos. I ended up going with someone else for my hair and another person for make up and they are everything artists should be: punctual, professional, nice and talented. My wedding photos came out great.
