If I could do it all over again.......

This is a question to those 2012 brides who are already married. We may be able to help those who are getting married this summer and fall with some helpful tips that no one had been able to warn us about!

Well, if I could re-do May 6th, I would definitely hire a professional photographer instead of an acquaintance who has a great website. She used two cameras, and the pictures in one of them came out really grainy. At the end of the day, it might be worth spending the xtra $1-2,000. (I know in my review I said I wouldn't change that but I thought it over).

I would have also gotten a separate dress for the reception. After the ceremony and pictures, i changed into silver flats, making my gown wipe the floor like a mop, and I kept stepping on it. it was hell during the Conga Line!

Ladies, if you're having your eyebrows done, either get them waxed atleast 5 days prior or get them threaded. I had my eye brows waxed the day before (I know, I know) and broke out in hives above my eyebrows! my makeup person did a great job, but couldn't work miracles, so I have to edit some closeups to get out the blemishes.

And lastly, I would have kept my cocktail hour at 6 instead of moving it to 7pm. I worried about thr being tme between ceremony and CH for pictures, but instead it pushed our reception to end at midnight when most guests left earlier.

My advice would be to not sweat the small stuff! Don't stress over all the little details. Also, ask questions and bombard people/vendors if you have to.....oh and ask friends/family for help!

It all works out in the end, no matter what! Just enjoy this time and HAVE FUN on your wedding day. We had a blast!

I agree with this post above me, don't sweat the small stuff. It isn't worth it.

I made sure I also just took a step back if I needed to to take it all in and remember the day. Don't left epople drag you everywhere. It's your day speak up and be comfortable.

Enjoy it while it lasts, it goes fast!!!

If I could do it all over again I would have told my friend not to bring her kid. He was such a show stealer trying to get everyone's attention by dancing in the center. It was super annoying.

Oh...small kids, don't get me started. Some people just attending thr ceremony brout small children, one of whom cried the entire Mass. All you hear is 'waaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaa!' on the video my godfather took. DH and I were so irritated.

hey ladies!!

I wish I would have wore my veil a little longer and took a few more pictures with it on.

And I wish i would have been more detailed in my 'picture list' regarding family and friends who weren't at the actual photo shoot but who I would have liked to take pictures with at some point during the reception

I honestly would not have changed a thing. My wedding was perfect just the way it was. I loved all my little details and people are still telling me that they were so impressed with the little touches that I did!
