If I Could Plan My Wedding Again, What I’d Do Differently…

for the newlyweds........(( mainly because they experience the full wedding planning experience)))

I would probably only pick a different florist but as far as the design of my wedding NOTHING.....

I would have negotiated with vendors more and would have gotten basic vendor packages at contract signing (you can always add to it later, but you can't take things off once the contract is signed).

I would have preserved my BK...last minute I scrapped the idea and now when everyone sees pics of my BK they die....so I feel like I should have just splurged on it and got it done. Other than that NOTHING!! My wedding was perfect!

Research your DOC and have a logistics plan. I may also have planned a different wedding during a cheaper time of year...maybe a NYE wedding.

I would have put a date as the RSVP date like a month before I actually needed the final number.

I would have had my own checklist of songs to review with my DJ to make sure we got everything right. Due to a miscommunication, the wrong song was played for my BP/parents to walk out to. I actually hated the music playing. Besides that, my dad had on a 'Slasher' hat to go with the Guns N' Roses song meant to be played, so he felt silly. My DJ made up for it by playing a Guns N' Roses song for him later and it turned into a funny moment when we all tried on the hat. We got some great pics from it. Something will always go wrong, and I say, go with the flow. However, the checklist couldn't hurt.

not a newlywed yet, but I'd probably go away and get married, like I originally wanted to, and use the wedding money for a house!

I wanted a destination weding so bad but our family was not trying to have it. Now I think this wedding has us in over our heads on one salary

i know its a little to ask guests to pay $1000+ to see me get married at a time like this..but im getting a MASSIVE HEADACHE .. and so is the FH
plus the people we reallly want there for destination wedding lost their jobs..
