network, network, network...

1. ask all your colleagues, family, friends for contacts in the new area

2. get a headhunter

3. search and apply online with follow-up phone calls

If there are any associations for your career (like doctors have the American Medical Association, that sort of thing) you can see if they have a career division.

Where are you moving? There are local resources as well that you can look into in addition to the national ones.
