Is there anything that brides can wear over the dress to protect it? I just don't want the bottom of my dress getting all dirty or muddy if it's a day like this. Or do you just hold it up when you are outside? TIA

I had my mom buy those big black construction garbage bags & my dad will cut a hole in the bottom for my feet. I will wear my rain boots & just tie the garbage bag around me.
It POURED on my best friends wedding day. For the bridal party her father had given us the black heavy duty garbage bags (from home depot) and cut 2 holes in them for our feet and we pulled the opening up over our shoulders to keep our dresses from getting wet. It sounds weird but TOTALLY worked and made for a funny a$$ wedding pic! When I get home from work I will post the photos of the bridal party in our garbage bags. Oh and for the bride they had a HUGE clear bag.

we're using these. as for the bottom of our dresses - we'll be dropped door to door and hotel and RH both have awning so it shouldnt be an issue.

HaHa yup, it was great because the holes are just enough for your legs (or should be) and your dress can just fall into the rest of the bag. As she put it 'A wet knot is better than a dry knot' lol
