Coming to my wits end. Everything makes me cry now. I am having trouble finding a non-denominational church to marry us. The HIstorical Chapel sounds super easy but $1200 is expensive! (may be my last hope though) I have found a church now that will marry us but they seem very eager to hear of our relationship with god. I am not religious. Whether I believe or not is another topic but I just don't want a religious/Jesus like ceremony. I want it about OUR love. I refuse to do the venue ceremony.. it's ugly, not what I've dreamed of and I refuse to miss my cocktail hour or see the groom before I walk down the aisle. WHy is this so difficult. Why can't I have the dream like everyone else? Great, now I'm crying again ughhhhhh... I'm so lost. Where else can I look? Maybe a church wedding isn't going to work for us even if I find one. I'm so over this...
(Side note for you to understand. I only want a church wedding because churches are so beautiful to me. Otherwise of course it would make no sense)

Not sure of your location but a friend of mine got married at the gazebo in Babylon. I think she went to the town to get a permit to do so.

I looked into this also! It's called Argyle park. Across the street you can also take pics. I believe the permit is only $100 and to have an officiant(Pastor April) was a few hundred!

Where are you getting married? Congregational churches are usually very flexible
The Jamesport Meeting House is an old white chapel, they do weddings, I think it was $500 just really far out east!

I'm sorry your having such a hard time! you don't want to get married outside? fh friend got married at CLM in the gazebo outside on the water.... very pretty! truthfully I couldn't find surging either, I didn't like my venues chapel so we settled on our church. what u r describing is exactly what I wanted too! museums is the only other thing I can think of! I thought I heard that some universities like hofstra have chapels but I. couldn't find it. good luck sorry again!!

this! it's sooooo gorgeous in there!! Idk how expensive it is though. But if you know anyone who is alumni of CW post, try to use them as a way to get a discount :)
