If not doing bo-k toss and garter what else to do?

I went to a wedidng this weekend...and after attending, I'm not sure if I really want to do the bo-k toss and garter. It seemed to take up a lot of time. what else can be done besides the anniversary dance?

I was thinking about doing a special dance with those special in our lives...after the parent dances. Like some of our family members cutting in. what do you think of that?

You could just take a special moment and present your BO-Q to a grandparent, etc.

We are playing a song for the freind who introduced us and getting everyone up to dance with her!

Anniversary dance. Bo-k given to the longest married couple. I've even seen the bo-k and a bottle of wine given.

I didn't want to do either, so we just kept the music playing & kept dancing!

I'm doing the bo-k toss and the garter toss, but we're not having whoever catches it do the whole put the garter on the other one thing... they just keep what they caught.

The way I see it... I've caught so many darn bo-k's in my life... it's my turn to throw one!!

A lot of people opt for the anniversary dance, too.

I'm guessing that you're asking what other way there is to give away your bo-k besides doing a toss or the anniversary dance - right? The only other thing I can think of is to just present it to someone - a grandparent, the couple you know is married the longest (without having to do the anniversary dance), or someone else special. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is just skip it altogether.

Looking at my guest list I have 5 completely single women, and two single guys. There will be no tossing of anything. I'm also skipping the anniversary dance, since I already know who the couple that has been married the longest is, so there is no element of surprise (and they make me nuts so no presenting it to her either).

I not even doing any of the fun things I've seen to give away the CPs. I'm just asking my DOC to place a card under one dinner plate at each table and whoever sits at that seat gets the CP. (except of course for my LIW ladies - they can all fight it out amongst themselves ).
