Hello girls! If you are off the pill what do you recommend other than condoms? I was reading about some films and gels and stuff...oy!

You can your the ring or things similar. Just as effective as the pill. They also offer shots and a patch.

Thanks ladies but I'm thinking more along the lines of non-prescription stuff. About a month out from the wedding we probably wont use anything. I just got off the pill and want an 'insurance policy' for the net 3 months or so. Sorry for the over-share!

The only 'insurance' would be abstinence. BUT that probably won't be happening. Can use condoms. You might want to stay away from anything with nonoxynol-9, might cause irritation to you. Withdrawal method is NOT a good method. Diaphragm might be another option, you just have to get fitted at your gyno's office. There is also Today's Sponge. There is rhythm method which is not too effective, Most pregnancies occur during the first two weeks of your menstrual period.(that is how we estimate how far a long a person may be) This also is only for women who have a normal menses. Good luck!

I stopped taking the pill a while ago; I just don’t get 'busy' that often so i'm lucky (keeping fingers crossed) that our timing when we do 'it' just works out!
