I don't know what the etiquete is on when to cash the check, but I would send out a thank you note now instead of waiting until after the wedding.

I'd definitely send out the thank you now. In terms of depositing the check (and this is just me), but I'd wait til I sent out the thank you (I'm just weird that way). As for whether you 'should' deposit it before the wedding, I guess if they didn't date the check for your wedding day, then deposit it before then. That's awesome that you're getting checks with the responses!

i have sent a check with a no reply and never gave any thought to when they cashed it. Therefore, I say do what ever you want. In regards to the thank you, you can send it after the wedding like you would anyone else who attended just Make sure you note that they sent you a gift. All JMO

If they didn't post date the check for your wedding date than I would cash it now, so you don't mess up their checking. I would also send a thank you now and if you would like, after the wedding send another with a pic.

Definately send a Thank you now and depending on the date of the check (we received one with an open date), I would cash it now if it's already dated.

I think what I am going to do is send a simple thank you now, and then the thank you with a pic later on.

I sent thank you cards right away and I also cashed the checks as well. I personally felt that I should acknowledge the gift right away instead of waiting.

since checks are good for 6 months after they are dated...I will deposit them with rest of the checks from my wedding and send out the thankyous with all the rest...this way the thank you's will still include a picture from the wedding.

I would send a thank you now and than after the wedding when you get your Thank You's from the Photographer, I would send another one.
