If the RSVP date was yesterday and people have not responded do you consider them an automatic will not attend

we have a friend we left 3 messages for and hasnt called us

we have another family friend who we have sent countless emails to her, spoken to her sister numerous times and called her cell phone and she still hasnt called us

I just called those people again now saying hey the RSVP date was yesterday are you coming or not because tomorrow the final headcount is going into our hall.

If you are not going to be coming at least have the respect to tell us instead of us having to go searching for you.

you will get some rsvps the week after, but the likelihood that they will come is slim...unless you have talked to them about it...

the worst case scenario is that they show up and the hall has to squoosh them in somewhere...making it embarrassing for them...but most likely I think they are a no (you could give them a call)

We had one person not RSVP and he came. But it was okay b/c we had the extra space. So if I were you I wouldn't include them in the final count you have to give to your hall, just in case. If they show up you can just pay for them that night.

thanks

my dad is going to tell the hall a few over what our final head count is just in case we do have people show up who never answered (we have a few people that were maybe's and they didnt want to tell us yes and not show or tell no then be able to show)

so far my final head count is 88 and my dad is telling the hall 95.

Do you think that is ok to do????

No I think he should say less than 95 b/c if those 7 people don't show up he's going to have to pay for them. Is that how your hall works? That's how ours did. We had to tell them a count, and even if less showed up we had to pay for the amount of people we told him would come.
If you tell your hall 88 and 95 people show up are they going to have a space problem? If yes, then I would go with a higher count. But maybe not as high as 95

Good Luck

space wise its not a problem.

I am just frazzled about the people who told me maybe and the people who havent responded.

FI has an aunt and uncle who told us they werent really sure who was going to come because their daughter was going in for minor surgery so just the uncle was going to come but they werent really sure because of how their daughter feels. So they dont know if both are coming or just one is coming. We never got a definate yes or no from them.

Then we have a friend whose wife had a baby a few months ago and he is definatly coming but isnt sure if his wife is coming

Then another aunt who hasnt RSVPed at all but we heard through the grapevine she was probably going on vacation that week but wasnt sure of her plans so she may just show up.

Its things like that, that I am pulling my hair out over and dont know what to tell my dad.

I think it works the same way. We tell them a count, and even if less showed up we had to pay for the amount of people we told him would come.

Our RSVP was on a Saturday and we got a couple of responses on the following Monday and Tuesday. I think some people mailed them on the day of or day before the due date. A couple of people were also on vacation. I would just give it a couple of more days, then begin making phone calls.

I just wanted to added that we had a couple of people who never responded at all so we assumed (correctly) that they weren't coming.

Don't tell them more..... let's face it they can always pull out more chairs & make more dinners, but if you tell them 95, you will have to pay for 95, even if only 80 come. It seems like a waste to me. JMHO
