if ur not doing a receiving line how/when do the guests blow bubbles at u?
do u wait till they line up outside the church and then walk through or do u walk around to the back of the church then come out the front again after the guests have cleared the church?

for me...we're doing the receiving line..the guests will proceed outside to the front of the church and stand on the steps of the church and as we're coming out start blowing the bubbles.

I don't think you can do the bubbles/petals without a receiving line...i thought about this for my own wedding and then decided just to have the line-it only took about 10 minutes or so.
