I definitely get what you mean. Some churches won't allow it though, I know I'm not allowed to do any tossing of anything outside my church.
Also, are you doing a garter toss? The priest might frown upon a garter removal outside the church. LOL.
ETA: What about tossing it right before you leave? I've heard of that, too. Right before you do the big send-off at the end of the night!

i actually wanted it immediately after the ceremony as well ... i think it's what i've seen in movies so i always assumed that's when it happens (and clearly i've never paid attention at other peoples' weddings lol)
i think we'll stick with after cake cutting though ...

Yeah I don't think Fr Frank would approve of a garter removal in the middle of the parking lot....that would be very funny though!....we're not doing a garter removal FH hates it!
