If Wishes Were Horses

There's an odd smell permeating my office. It's a little like burnt toast and a little like old chicken soup. It's coming from the office next to us, where they have been doing construction, and I suspect something is burning. Mostly, I suspect this because this will be the 3rd time the construction workers have set something on fire over there.

If my building erupts in a ball of flames and we're all evacuated just in time to see a violent conflagration engulf our dismal offices, do you think I'll get paid for the whole day?

I seem to remember a similar post from you about wanting to get paid for a full day of work in the event of some disaster doing something detrimental to your office...

I don't see why not

When I used to work on LI, the offices on the floor above us would constantly set fire to popcorn in their microwave, setting of the fire alarm. It was great when they did it on a slow moving sunny day.
