I am getting married by a judge who is friend of mine. I am giving her a gift certificate to spa. There are rules for the types of gifts and gift amounts that judges can accept. You should find out if they apply to the person officiating your wedding.

we're being married by an inter-faith minister who is pretty much her own ministry---so we didn't plan on tipping. she's pretty much self-employed IMO so i don't think it's necessary to tip her.
i think if the officiant is self-employed (as most JOP's and ministers are) it seems unnecessary to tip. but that's just me

Do you by any chance know where I can find these rules? Is there an online resource? Thanks!
