Not going out tonight b/c of the wind chill factor, but if I were, I'd probably see '21 Grams.' It's supposed to be really depressing, though...

I would see Monster, Girl with a Pearl Earring or LOTR: The Return of the King.
I really enjoyed Big Fish and Mystic River - both were a little slow moving...but beautifully acted movies, imo.

21 Grams was depressing, but it blew me away. I loved it, as did the 3 other people I went to see it with. It's very moving and emotional. I'm not a huge Sean Penn fan, but his acting was one of the best performances I've ever seen.
It's shot as a non-linear series of scenes, so it's a little confusing at first, until you put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Ohhh, I forgot about Girl With a Pearl Earring. I saw that one. Very slooooow, but really interesting and also beautifully filmed. A terrific performance from Scarlett Johannson.

That Butterfly effect movie does look interesting. Maybe we'll see a movie tomorrow. Anyone see it?

We are undecided. We watched Big Fishes preview but it looks strange. The butterfly effect looks good so who knows.

i would warn against BIG FISH--my brother and SIL walked out of it--they said it was soooooooooo dumb--ridiculously boring! ETA: I just saw Latina's post----guess it depends on your opinion!! LOL

Its just one of those movies that really makes you think about life. It doesn't have action or that type of dramatic movie, it was just interesting. I thought it was excellent, but I think it depends on what you like.
