The owner told us to tip our two photographers 5% of the total package - is that 5% each or total split between the two of them??

Wow this is a first, i never had any photographer tell me that. I think they should leave it up to you for how much you should give in tips

We had the same thing in our contract. We interpreted it to mean 5% combined, but we ignored it and tipped what we thought was appropriate anyway.

Oh, crap. I didn't think about that. I have 2 and an assitant. 5% for me is $180. Tht doesn't seem enough to split for 2. maybe $150 each & $75 for the assistant?

Ok, thanks everyone. I think we're doing $50/75 for one depending on how good of a job he does and $80/100 for the other since she has offered to stay after the reception to take extra pics of just FH and I. Does this sound reasonable?
