If you are having

Readers at your Church Ceremony do you get them a gift? And if so what are some ideas?

I was wondering about this myself actually. At first I wasn't going to get them anything and then I thought maybe a gift card of some kind - like to Borders? Or some place like that.

I am having readers at my ceremony, however since they are all in my Bp anyways and my FH are on a really tight budget they are just getting the gifts that we already bought for them.

BTW i just noticed your getting married on my birthday

One reader loves coffee, so we're going to get her some of her favorite coffee and a LI coffee mug. The other reader loves white wine, so we're getting her a LI wine with wine charms since she has so many wine glasses.

Each will also wear a corsage on the wedding day.

we are getting gifts for our readers and gift beares. We are getting the guys engraved bottle openers and for the girls we'll probably get some sort of necklace - nothing too expensive or fancy! Or maybe picture frames. I'm a little undecided!

My birthday too!!!!!

Anyway, we got her a specific cookbook that she has wanted for a while, but we knew she wouldn't buy it herself. And an engraved compact.

For our greeter (the person handing out the programs) I gave her an old ring that I wanted to keep in the family. (My neice) and an engraved compact.

If you need an engraved compact for somebody named April, Sheryl, or Theresa, let me know. They all dropped out too close to the wedding.

We were planning on it, however when I spoke to friends/fam (outside of LIW) they said it wasnt necessary. My mom had been a reader several times and never got anything...so we figured we could really save the extra money so we just gave cards thanking them...
however, you could do a bookmark/bookstore GC or a picture frame with you and them at the wedding/ or of them reading,
