If you are paying for your wedding with little to no help...

If you are paying for your wedding with little to no help...

but want to honor your parents on your invitation, but show that you & your FH are actually HOSTING the party...how do you word it?

I've been researching...and nothing sounds exactly right.

I don't want to say 'together with their parents'.

I don't want to say' Mr. & Mrs. xyz request the honor ...of their daughter....

I want it to be our names requesting the honor...and to mention both sets of married parents somewhere in the invitation.

Any suggestions?

request the pleasure of your company
at their marriage
at XYZ,

my sister and my brother in law paid for their entire wedding (they have plenty of money and didn't want help) but still put both their parent's names on the invite.

FH and are getting a little help from our parents, but because his father passed away (20 years ago), we all agreed to keep it simple with 'together with our parents'

this is what we did too and everyone involved seemed to be happy with it. We made our names in a bigger 'swooshier' font so it still was the focal point of the invite
