I have been to about 7 djs and 5 florist all on here so if anyone wants to know anything just let me know. We booked a dj and i think we found our florist last night

So then tell us who you booked and who you saw.

Why did you pick your vendors from the other ones you saw.

I still have to book both dj and florist so any info would be great.

is your dj located in georetown in brooklyn. and is the owner evan. if it is, they're fantastic. my mom used them for my sister's sweet 16 in '93

Yes i booked evan! They are amazing! i have known them forever so I wanted to save looking at him for last, didnt want to be biased to the other djs you know. Ok so remember these are only my opinions so please no one get upset First I will do DJ's

High Voltage- vinny was the first dj that we met with. He was very very nice and so reasonably priced! The only thing we were worried about is that he works out of home and for some reason we just felt safer with someone who has their own business.

Lucky star productions- Vendor at my hall and we did not like them at all! They showed us a video where they had the groom in his underwear! The MC made him take off his clothes!!

Classie sounds- we liked them a lot but they were expensive and I felt that they were going to be really loud at our wedding. We were trying to find a dj that would accomadate all of our guests and they seemed more into todays stuff. I was nervous they would get out of hand.

Body rock- Did not like them. You dont get to know who your mc or dj is they pick that for you and i did not like the way they worked. I felt they were more about getting you to pay nore, so the person who piad for the bigger package got the best dj.mc

music by michael- now we were not crazy about him b/c we want to give our dj free range and michael seemed very big on having us make our entire play list. I felt for that we could have made our own cds.

high energy- we just did not click with ralph. He was very nice and worth seeing but he just wasnt for us

EK productions- last we met with evan. He was great but i know him so my opinion may be biased. He worked with us and we just felt very comfy with him. He has amazing things for weddings and I feel 100% about giving him free range to do what he does best to get my guests dancing

Flowers by brian- i met with brian and i did not like him at all. He came off to me very cocky and just plain rude. He wouldnt look at anything i brought with me and basically did not like any of my ideas. Now i did not want flowers as a center piece and i guess that bothered him so he said well this is what i would do for your wedding and its 5500 and if you dont like it well then there are other florsist.

Flower michelle- John was amazing, def worth seeing. He had the best ideas by far, i told him what i had in mind and he was the only forsist to actually create it. Every other one i met with i had to draw it out for them He is sweet and really good. He qouted me at 3300

LA Blossom- Lori was so nice to meet with a real sweetheart. My only problem is that i thought she was known for being amazingly cheap in her prices but she quoted me more then flower michelle!

And last we met with flowers by emil last night- Now i orginally did not like him b/c his phone manners are terrible! Then when we walked in he sort of ignored us for a few minutes. But the minute we started talking i was in love! He builds your centerpiece right there and tells you about quality of the flowers. He is amazing to meet with you just have to get past the first impression. He quoted me far cheaper then anyone else and I think we may use him.

May I ask what he quoted you and what is included and how many hours of service as we are thinking if having an extended CH

These are our next two things to look for...we got some great ideas at the Jericho Terrace Showcase and booked some appointment. We are so excited

Has anyone gone to Stefans Flowers yet in Cedarhurst? Carlyle on the Green recommends them....so im gonna check them out....has anyone so far???

My co-worker hated them! She said they were very rude and she did not like the quality of the flowers. This was a few years ago, though, so I would still check them out.
I work near there so I can ask around for you.

I was told that by alot of people that went to see body rock and when i asked the woman she said that they will pick the dj mc that best suits us so thats a little starnge to us. I feel we should be able to pick our own dj since we know what we want. Im glad I could help
