If you buy the negatives...
...where can you have them developed?
Does this approach actually save anything vs. having enlargements and reprints made by your photographer?

You can take the negatives to any place that develops film. It is definitely cheaper than having the photographer make copies.

Anywhere, just make sure the photographer doesn't copywrite the film/digital images.
