I just wanted to share in case some of you ladies can make the trip ... New Jersey doesn't charge tax on clothing, and I've been to 3 dress shops in NJ that don't charge for alterations:

Reba Bride's in North Bergen
Memories in North Bergen
The Wedding Store at Liz Clinton

This could save people hundreds. I don't think all stores do this, but it's worth calling in advance.

I thought they were pretty consistent with LI. I know 1 dress at Reba's was $300 less than the same dress I had seen at Bridal Reflections.
