and tell yourself something during the wedding planning, what would it be?
I ask because I read a lot of the posts on BHB or the '07 and '08 boards... I notice them stressing out over small things that now having BTDT know they don't matter at all.

i think that because i planned the wedding so quickly i didn't have time to stress about nonsense.
but if there is one thing i would tell myself is not to be so strict about keeping my guest list so contained. i would have had the attitude that if someone wants to be a part of my day, whomever they want bring shouldn't matter.

i am glad i didnt make my BM's get the same color shoe. i honestly didnt even look at their feet during my wedding day.

I make sure i asked for my buttons for my Bustle.
I didn't have it up by 5 minutes and someone stepped on it and buttons went flying.
and i would have wanted to more people too.

I would've told myself to go ahead and splurge on a good photographer. I was so focused on making sure everyone enjoyed our wedding (which they did) but our pics just don't do it justice.

I would have spent less time obsessing over placecard holders and spent more time pampering myself. I wanted to get a massage and stuff the week before but I never got around too it. All in all, I was glad I paid attention to the little details because that is what people seem to remember.

I would have danced more, gave a better 'to take list' to the photographer & gave the DJ a 'to play list' & spent more time just have fun the day of the wedding. We did have a great time, but I was talking to long to some people so I missed dancing more. Otherwise we had a great time. Probably would have liked to have not stressed so much over the little things, because in the end, everything was great!

i definitely would have been more relaxed about booking things so early. i would have still booked my hall when i did, but limos 2 years before was ridiculous. and i agree with you about the 07/08 brides, i feel like telling them to just chill. but i hated when everyone told me i had sooo much time.

I would have given the photographer a more detailed photo list or given to my moh to make sure the normal shots were taken - I don't have a full length photo of me by myself or many candids at the reception. Met with the band personally instead of via email and letting hubby take care of it
other than that it went smooth

Well it was my 2nd go round, so I knew not to stress over the small stuff, but I would have told my dad to fully put my veil over when he lifted it and would have stayed more on top of the person I ordered bm dresses from.

as long as the day goes smoothly...i really could give a $hit
lol..it sounds terrible
but with the exception of my hall dress photo and video..i can settle for a little less then the best
my pockets wont allow me to anyways

Would have looked at more photographers. Would have written a more specific list for the DJ. Would have made sure my stepson was not at the reception.
