chosen the time and place of your proposal, where, when and how would it be? i know our FH's were creative in their own way but were you hoping for something different?

i wish i was surprised...he called me 1000 times that day so i knew he was going to do it...and although i love how he did it i kinda wish that i had one of those proposals where he proposed at a resturant out of nowhere and then had our family like in the next room or something to congratulate us

i would have liked to have been on vacation somewhere, away from everyone and just so relaxed... Instead we were in his bedroom at his house upstate at 2am with our families standing outside the door lol But it was sooooooooooooo great anyway and i'm incredibly happy to be marrying him

He did it on Valentines day, at the restaurant we go to in the city Aureole every year. He did it in the limo After dinner, and i really wish that he did it in the restaurant, cause alot of people get engaged there and its a romantic thing to do.
But he captured it on video tape in the limo, and really surprised me! So the only thing i would of changed was for him to do it earlier at the restaurant

It would have been in a HOT AIR BALLOON! FH proposed @ a Country Club, in Brookville, on the golf course, after we had dinner & I had much too much wine! I literally did cart wheels w/ snow on the ground, lol

this is so cheesy
but right before he proposed was kind of when i realized that we were NOWHERE near able to buy a house in the near future so i would day dream that he would blindfold me and take me to this big empty house and propose in there but then 'reveal' that he had bought the house
but other than NOT buying me a house in cash he he my proposal was perfection
ETA: more realistically i wish i didnt have to PEE when he did it - i thought we were done exchanging presents so i was trying to sneak away to go to the bathroom when he told me he had one more gift and in my head i was like HURRY UP I HAVE TO PEE but then i didnt get to pee for HOURS LOL
ETA: OMG HAVE TO PEE IS HYPERLINKED TO BLADDER CONTROL PROBLEMS

Thats where we got engaged too!! But FH didn't get caught, so he was able to do it on the top. He told me afterwards that he was freaking out going thru them.

FH's proposal was special and memorable, but I always thought it would be different! Unfortunately, I knew it was coming b/c we had already booked the date and place and I knew he had the ring (since I picked it out!). He kept telling me it would happen by my birthday. Well July came and went and I was still waiting. But he finally did it in his own way, so I can't complain too much. Oh plus, b/c I was getting so frustrated that he kept giving me deadlines and not meeting them (which I wish he hadn't!), he finally told me it would happen in the next 2 days!
But back to the question...I would have liked to have not known, like he shouldn't have told me it would happen in the next 2 days, b/c I still would have been more surprised than I actually was...and I wish it was when we had been away for a few days or even when we took a few walks at the beach during the summer. But I still love telling the story of how it actually happened! And now that you have my novel...

Niagara Falls - New Years......
He was going to wait and do it there -since we were going there anyway - but he couldn't wait...so he picked my favorite time of year - Christmas...did it on Christmas Eve...

mine was perect...he took me back to the first place we ever went on Vacation. It was an inn in New Hampshire...he actually proposed on a beach neraby. but he took me shopping all day and the way he driving and getting fraustrated I knew he was nervous and figured it out, but I kept that a secret that night. I was completly surprised and It was our first and favorite place to go...

FH never knew this but I always used to daydream about being proposed to infront of my entire HUGE family on X-mas Eve at our annual Party. He ended up doing it the same way, but I was sooooo shocked that it made it even more unbelievable

I would not change how he did it BUT I was hoping he wouldve rented a Ferrari and had the ring in the console or something..lol. I have a thing for red Ferrari's.
