Re: If You couldn't afford a Caligrapher??
my FH has the font that our invites (and return address) are in, so we are going to either print them right onto the envelopes (first choice) or use labels (totally second choice)

Re: If You couldn't afford a Caligrapher??
Thanks girls..... i can't run the actual envelope through the printer because of hand painted flower on the front of the envelope. I wasn't sure if labels or something like that would be bad so I wanted to see what everyone else did thanks!!!!

Re: If You couldn't afford a Caligrapher??
I printed them up myself on my home printer. I have a Lexmark that cost me $99.00. I think they came out awesome. Here is a pic of the style I printed.
I read somewhere that etiquette- wise, hand writing is acceptable no matter how awful it may be!

A cheaper option is computer calligraphy -- IMO, it looks just as nice and is a lot cheaper. I'm paying $1.25 an envelope at Invitations & Beyond.

Re: If You couldn't afford a Caligrapher??
We were going to print clear labels (I know, not proper etiquette) but our computer went down.
We ended up hand writing them and it took such a short amount of time we were so happy. We thought it would take forever, but we did it in one night!

My mom did it. She took caligraphy classes a few years ago. And has nice handwriting...
JMO - People open the envelope and throw it out.... I was trying to save 200 bucks.

We printed them on our printer (I have a good HP one) and they came out beautiful. . . it took a little time figuring it out. . .but it was well worth it I think. No extra cost and no worrying about messing up with a calligraphy pen. . . Good Luck!
