FI and I are trying to figure out what's average. Please let me know if this includes full open bar, or unlimited beer and wine, or soda only etc. What are your menu choices?
Thanks.

thats a lot of questions chica! We are having ours at the Gatsby in Islip.

I only voted based on food, we are doing the punch bowl set up for an extra 60 bucks and FI and I are paying 6.95 a person for wine and soda.

There are 20 menu choices of which we pick 6 I think.

I think ours is up to $28 w/unlimited soda, coffee & tea. Bar tab will be additional. We are having ours at Dave & Buster's with a buffet dinner that for the basic option is $16.95 pp - salad/three entrees - lemon crumb baked salmon, parmesan chicken, linguini alfredo/two veggie choices - spinach madeline, garden veg medley/garlic roasted herb potato/rolls & butter. We added chilled shrimp/cocktail sauce app and cookie/brownie/berry trays for dessert.

How is Gatsby? We live near there, but have never been. We were thinking about Bayberry Cafe, so I will put the price we were given for that.

Lisa that's a great price for what you're getting. Where is your RD?

The food is pretty good at the Gatsby, we went there for my birthday dinner. Its pretty expensive though, my filet mignon was 34.00 and the sides are a la carte.

The place is gorgeous though and FMIL pointed it is in keepign with the castle 'theme' sort to speak, in 53 days I'll post pics of it! :)

I actually just started pricing and found that the cheapest place so far is the Bavarian Inn on Lake Ronkonkoma. I went there yestueday and they told me that for a Sat night in Aug for private room it would be 19.50pp. I do have to ask further questions though cause I think I need to add a little more per person for unlimited soda.

bethsiar, did you think that Gatsby was better than Teller's? The price for the filet seems comparable to their prices. I love Teller's, though I have some vegetarians coming and I don't know how much they make that is vegetarian. BTW, I think my FI was invited to your FI's paint ball bachelor party...

Teller's is good but i was turned off because last time i went there i ordered some kind of fish and they brought it out and cut out the eye and seared it in front of me. haven't been there since. It is good but not worth it. Have you ttried Crazy Dog in Sayville... it is amazing and better than Teller's.. just as expensive
mazey's in Bluepoint too is also very good and i think they do private parties

Jill you have to try Bayberry on Main St. in Islip if you haven't been there. It is excellent, and such a romantic little place (FI and I had our first date there so I am a little biased, but I love it!). I only get steak at Teller's. Had an excellent dessert there last time too. yummm....

Re: If you don't mind...How much are you spending per person for the rehearsal dinner?

Nope, not Mulberry...Bayberry is right next to Lily Flanagan's right on Main Street. It is small, maybe 15-20 tables, but sooo good! It has everything, I love the fish or chicken there. I love chicken francaise and it is AMAZING there if you like that. Also great flounder and chicken parm!
