I was just wondering what the average price that everyone is paying for their photo/video package.

I am spending 7000 and I think I am getting a lot. I also added on a photojournalist.
My friend spent about 9,000 on her package too.
My place didn't even offer a package less than 2000.
I wish I could have made up my own package.

We spent less than $4K on 2 photographers and a videographer.

We're not getting a video, but we are getting two photographers. our package includes a small album, but we intend to upgrade that after we see our proofs. I think we are paying $3200 + tax for the photography package. I'd have to double check that, though. It's right around there.

$5100 after taxes ... from duet, 2 photos, video , albums, enlargements, etc

If you want to save a little, go for unedited (raw) video of just your ceremony. I was able to get that with 2 photographers and a huge package for under $4k. I didn't feel it necessary to do the cinema thing and I really hate to see myself dance on video... I look like Elaine on Seinfeld The reception's a nice memory, but the ceremony is what was important to me to have video of. Almost every photographer I talked to gave this option.

We customized our photo package (no albums, just prints on CD, a few 8x10s, etc) and are having one photographer and an assistant. Our total was $1595 + tax. We're not doing a video. We're using TimExposures. Jon (owner) has been great to work with and was really flexible with what we want.
