If you don't see me around much the next few days...this is why....

Original post by jenlen

I'll be slaving away on my million DIY projects . The delivery of most of the stuff we needed was delayed because of the holiday, so we JUST got the stuff in today...one week from the wedding.

We already ditched the DIY menus because we won't have enough time to do it. AND my votives for the tables aren't due to arrive until the day before the wedding. I hate shipping during the holidays.

I'm hoping to be able to have time to do my DIY aisle runner...but for now, that's not a priority.

So we're hoping to finish these this weekend:

Programs....a LOT of them. (I have pics of the inside in my album in case anyone needs a template to go off of)

Table numbers

Placecard holder and placecard strips (78 cranes folded...120 more to go )

everything looks great!

wish I could put something like that together, maybe if I wasn't so lazy

p.s. I'm also doing a hands ceremony, I think its so sweet!

Hands ceremony?? Could you please tell me about that? Mary MOB

most people do it in place of the unity candle. but it goes something like this:

Bride-, please face -Groom- and hold his hands, palms up, so that you may see the gift that they are to you. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy. These are the hands that will comfort you in illness and hold you when fear or grief fills you. These are the hands that will give you support and celebrate with you in your accomplishments.

-Groom-, please hold -Bride- hands, palms up, so that you may see the gift that they are to you.

These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times. They are the hands that will comfort you when you are sick or console you when you are grieving. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the year, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will give you support as she encourages you to fulfill your dreams.

That is so precious!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain!!!!! Mary MOB

They did this with us on our last day of Pre Cana and I cried, it was so touching.
