This might be dorky but...I always thought it would be cool if I had an extra invitation or two, to mail it to a famous person or persons just to see what type of response I'd get. Who knows, maybe they's show up or send a gift. That could be cool. Here is my list:
-Bill Clinton (sans Hillary - I don't like her) -Joe Torre -Bobby Nystrom of the NY Islanders(childhood crush and he can't be that busy right now) -RuPaul (though s/he may look better in my dress than I would) -Paul McCartney -Duran Duran

Well I actually had extra invitations so I sent one to the White House, Oprah. and Madonna. I am also going to send one to the Pope.

The President; U2 and maybe others... I doubt if any of these famous people have time to attend a wedding like mine.

Duran Duran... I lived for them from the years of 1981 (I have cousins in England) to 1988 or so. Hey, if you invite them they just might come... I have a feeling that they are not as busy as they used to be

On the contrary. The original 5 members of Duran Duran have an album out and a full tour. I am seeing them in April at MSG!
Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand.... LA LA LA!!! I am so excited!!!
Funny, FH doesnt want to go with me to that show and I can't understand why?

I don't know, I tried to buy tickets for their concert at MSG in April last week and only tickets up in the Gods are left!

We sent one to the president and first lady and got a response and card from them. Sent one to Garth Brooks and he never responded.

I am adding Brett Favre to my list. I wonder if he and Simon LeBon will get along - they will be at the FAMOUS PEOPLE table.
I think it would be cool to keep the response cards in a wedding scrapbook - at least from the president!
