If you had MIA do your make-up/hair on wedding day...

If you used Mia for your hair or makeup for wedding day- do you think you needed a make-up and hair trial with her? When she looked at you, did she know right away what would look good on you? Did you agree or did you have to change things?

If you had to do it over, would you just let her do your hair and make-up with out a trial ?

After reading amazing reviews on Mia I booked her without a make-up/ hair trial first because I wanted to make sure my wedding date was saved with her. Now I don't know if I should still do a trial before the wedding? My skin is pretty good so I generally don't wear make-up aside from mascara and liner. Not sure what to do...

If you tend not to wear make-up, I would get a trial, so you know what to expect. She is a professional, but her opinion of what she knows will look good in pics and what you expect could be worlds apart.
But that being said, she is the best and does wonderful work.

I am not working with her but I would recommend a trial. It's not just up to the artist to decide what will look best - you have ideas, too! And what you think you want may turn out to be NOT want you really want at all, you know? I went to my first trial with ideas that I thought were great, and then when it was done, I liked it but didn't LOVE it. I don't wear a lot of makeup either, and even though my m/u artist knows that, what she did was too heavy for me - if I can see it on my skin, I feel like it's too heavy. So definitely get a trial - hair is one thing, I'm sure she'll do a great no matter what - but makeup is another thing entirely and I would definitely recommend a trial.

I used Mia for makeup (she also did BM's hair on the wedding day). I did have a trial with her and she did exactly what I wanted at the trial and on the wedding day. I still would have a trial done though. I had airbrush makeup done b/c I had heard many brides on here had that application vs. traditional foundation, but I had never used it before and would have no idea if I would like it or not. Having the trial let me try that and make sure I liked it, plus make sure that on the wedding day, we would be on the same page.

I am booked with Mia. I actually did two trials with her. What she did the first time was what I told her I thought I wanted and she did that with colors that she thought would work for the look and I ended up not liking it after a little while.

The second trial we discussed what I thought I would like more, what I didn't like about the first and she took it from there and I loved it.

I did exactly what you did. I debated on the trial but had one anyways and did it the same day as my eng photos were taken. This way I got use out of the trial! Some people do it the day of theor shower as well..

I would recommend a trial with her, this way you can talk about what you like and then she'll test it out.. You don't want to be shocked or go crazy the morning of your wedding...

I used Mia and LOVED her! She did such an amazing job on my hair & makeup. She was actually the first vendor I booked, since I met her when she did a friend's hair & makeup. Even though I adored her - I did go for a trial, just to see how everything would come out beforehand & since my hair is really long & thick & I wanted to make sure that the style I wanted would hold up. All in all, the trial was amazing & her day-off work was remarkable. The pics turned out great & my hair & makeup lasted the whole day. I cannot say enough great things about her. I would try to squeeze in a trial beforehand, if possible, for your own sanity & resolution.

if u book a trial with her she holds your wedding date until your trial date...than after the trial if u decide to have her u leave a deposit and it finalizes you having her for the day...she is amazing...
