if you have been to 10-11 halls, and know one you really like

if you have been to 10-11 halls, and know one you really like

should you keep looking, or just go ahead and book it? I have been to 10-11 places within the past month, and one stands out that we REALLY like, but I dont want to book and then find something else we like more. If I have been to that many halls, is there a chance we will find something else that we like more, or should we go talk contracts?

TIA

I ended up visiting 21 halls, and fell in love with the 20th one.

Up until that 20th one, I was super set on one particular hall...but I'm SO glad I kept looking.

Sorry, if that's not all that helpful, LOL!

I think it depends on what you are looking for in a reception hall. What did you like about the hall you really liked? What didn't you like about the others?

If you're looking for a particular style of room - like a airy, open feeling, or lots of glass, or if architecture is important to you, then I would look only at halls that have that style, of course. And if you know thatthe one hall you liked is one of a kind, then book it! But if the one you like so far isn't too much different than the others you saw - if the reason you liked it, ie, is because they offer more meal choices but the rooms are similar, etc ... maybe you should keep looking.

Does that help?

I would look around but withing reason (I did about 15 places in two days with FH) just to be sure that it's the one and that the price and everything is what you can manage.
I knew after we looked at Russo's that that was it for me but we still looked at about 5 more places just to make sure we're not missing anything.

I say keep on searching until you picture yourself and your wedding at that hall. Are you getting married in 2010 , you have plenty of time

we like it because of how many entree options you get, how much food for the CH, the old time elegance and its right next to a hotel for our OOT guests. Its the Fox Hollow winter pavilion room, we have been there and loved it before, and its within our price range

I went to 3 halls - fell in love with the 3rd one and booked it. If you honestly feel as though the hall is right for you stop looking and go book it. Personally, I got goosebumps when I walked into it. That was how I knew. Hope this helps.

i would book it! IMO, the more choices you have, the more complicated you make things. If you have a good feeling about the Fox Hollow, just go with your gut.

If you know it's the place then book it. We priced one and booked it because we knew it was the one.

I looked at all the halls that I set out to check out. Even if I thought I found the one I kept looking. This way I didn't have any doubts about the hall that I picked.

The first place that we went to we fell in love but we didn't book the first day. Right after we left that place we went to another place and i didn't even want to sit down with the people b/c I know that I found the place. The next week we booked and are so happy that we did. HTH.

Landing was the second hall I looked at, and I knew it was the one. I kept looking to make sure I wouldn't have any doubt. And there wasn't. I had the perfect place for us! If you like it, book it!

We just went to three, We looked at someone of them online and we knew there was no reason for us to even visit them.

If you have some reservations about the place, keep looking. You have time.

But if you say 'OMG, this is the place, i looooooove it.', then book it. If you are getting married in 2010, you have time to continue to look. After 17 reception halls, we were tired, and we found a place that we love, so we booked it.

Sometimes, if you continue to look and see other RHs, your love for the one you love will be reinforced.

If you are really getting married in January of 2010, you have plenty of time, and not just b/c its so far away-- You are getting married in the 'off peak' time, so there is less competition for your date.

If you are even questioning whether you should keep going, I think that says something. So you should keep looking until you are completely sure that Fox is where you want to be.
