If you have been to Tahiti on your HM

I know there are a few of you on this board We are thinking about stopping there on the way to Australia but will only have 3-4 days to spend...where should we go? Moorea? Bora Bora? We want a place where we can relax and also have some activities to do. Any hotel/resort recommendations? We really want OW bungalows! Thanks so much

bora bora..

it can easily be done in 3 or 4 days.

i just got back and it is all fresh.

We LOVED our resorts on moorea and bora bora. We stayed at the Pearl Resorts on both and highly recommend them. Hmm... 3-4 days... if you're going to Australia too it might be a lot having to get off the plane from NY, then stay a night in Tahiti, then get on another plane to bora bora then back again after 3 days and onto another plane to get to australia! It sounds exhausting!! Honestly, moorea is beautiful and only a short ferry ride away from tahiti. We did the shark feeding there and it's the most memorable experience of our whole trip. But, if you don't mind all the flying then try to get to bora bora... the lagoons are to die for.

The flight from Papeete (you did spell it right ) to Bora Bora is about 45-50 mins on a small plane.

depending on what time your flight gets in, you may be able to take the flight from papeete to bora bora in the same day. look on expedia for the flight times or contact your travel agent.

i think we did a lot more relaxing on bora bora than on moorea.. moorea to me, there was so much more to see and it was a lot easier to see it -- on bb we stayed on a motu (a boat ride from the main island), so it was a little more difficult for us..
