If you have curly hair, come on in!

If you have curly hair, come on in!

What hair dryer do you use?

I never use one but in this cold weather with everyone around me getting sick and me having a little one, I really can't afford to get a cold so I decided to get the hairdryer. Now, the question is, which one is the kind that will not make my hair look like I have a bad afro?

Do i just get anything with a defuser? I heard those were good for curly hair... Can anyone make a good recommendation?

I use a regular blow dryer with a diffuser....i always blow dry on low...the higher speed makes it super kinky curly (at least for me it does)

Good Luck!!!

I have a L'Oreal hairdryer, I think 1875 watt. All I know is that it's got some clear purple on it.

Anyway, I also dry my hair on the lowest heat and speed setting and use a diffuser sock instead of an actual attachment. Makes my curls soft.

I have a cheap Revlon hairdryer. I blowdry on high( I have super thick hair) with a diffuser. I honestly think that any dryer/diffuser combo will work . What I find most important is a good anti-frizz product. I use L'oreal anti-frizz cream when low on funds and Aveda Brilliance serum when I can afford it.

Vidal Sasson makes a dryer that is a diffuser. It is the best thing I have ever used for my thick, heavy and long curly hair. I still have to use anti-frizz serum and gel, but I can definately tell the difference from using a regular hair dryer. On the low setting, it's very close to air drying. It's called Vidal Sassoon 769 Hairdryer with Cold Shot.

I use the Conair Fast Air 1875. It has a removable 'Fast Air Diffuser' .. a switch with 3 heat settings, a seperate speed switch and a cool shot button.

I always keep the speed set to low, but will switch the heat throughout the drying process, so I don't over-heat my hair. And I can't use the diffuser all the way through the drying time, because then the ends of my hair dry, and the roots stay damp, which leads to flat hair with big curls on the ends for me.

I also like that the air filter is removable, which makes it so much easier to keep clean.

I actually went to a salon supplier and got a bonnet hair dryer.
I love it

I have a Revlon hairdryer, but the important part, at least for me, is to definitely use a diffuser ( I have the sock one), and I use a anti-frizz product. The one I used is Marc Anthony's curl enhancer pump spray. I spray it in before drying my hair, after I use a pick to work through it, and I typically use the lower setting.

My trick is no blowdrying. I take hair...put some gel, mouse...whatever products u use and then put up in a bun. I leave it till I get to work and take down an hr later. The hair is curly w/no frizz!
