If you have dogs and babies, be careful...

A friend of mine just called to tell me her 4 month old son had a deer tick! This is a very premature baby who only goes to the doctor and home, so the dr. and his mother surmised it must have come from the dog! Now the poor baby is on antibiotics and has to be checked regularly.

They live in Western Suffolk (south shore).

Of all the things I do worry about, I never even imagined that risk. Now I'm paranoid about going to anyone's house with a dog.
