but no one knew you knew how did you act when they said SURPRISE???
I have a very good feeling that my shower is this weekend, but am worried I am going to not act totally surprised about it....does that make sense
Part 2: What did they tell you to get you there? Someone else's party? Or FH told you he was taking you to lunch?

I had the same problem. I tried to act supprised but it didnt really come out that way. I was still a little overwhelmed when I walked in and saw everyone....but I didnt pull off the supprised look very well.

I think mine is this weekend too. I've been debating this.
I think I'll still probably have nerves and turn 3 shades of red when I walk into the room, so I'll seem surprised. I'm not a big jump up and down person, so they won't be expecting me to make a big scene.
I'm going to feign ignorance and pretend I had NO IDEA!! I don't want to ruin it for my sister and mom. I think my dad knows I know though.

I would just act surprise. People love surprise parties when the guest of honor is really surprised. WHy ruin it for them That's jmo

I tried to act surprised but all I could was laugh so then I started greeting people. Everyone could tell i wasn't surprised.

I just started laughing. My mom kept syaing, you knew you didn't you? but I just told her I had an idea but I wasn't totally sure. It wasn't so planned out, I was till surprised to see some people & was overwhelmed by all the little things they did.

They did say Surprise to me and I knew, if your invitation said that it was a surprise then your guests don't know that you know. If your guests know that you know about it they might not say it but sometimes people will anyway. People love to shout Surprise.

I suspected and figured it out about an hour before for sure. (It was this past Sunday)
It was really funny because they were all watching one door and we walked in another so fiance (who knew) and I were standing behind everyone.
I walked in and said 'She's here!' Everyone turned around - I think they were more surprised than I was.
I just smiled and greeted people and let the people who wanted to surprise me think I was surprised. In a way I was because when I woke up that morning I didn't think 'my shower is today' but once we were on the way there I knew where I was going. Fiance really tried to keep it a surprise.

For my friend's shower she knew about it, so when she walked in everyone just clapped. I know my shower is this weekend and I tell people I know, so I hope they don't yell surprise because it's not a surprise.

Although I never told my family that I new, they guessed it. It's inevitable that they are throwing you a shower, it's just a matter of time. My co-workers on the other hand were trying to trick me into thinking that I was being silly in thinking that it was this past Sunday, but of course I was right!
My family got me there saying that my grandmother wanted to take us out for 'brunch' for my parents anniversary. As soon as my mom told me that like 3 weeks ago, I knew it!

I knew about mine but I think I still looked surprised because as I've said before, it's still a bit overwhelming to walk into a room where a ton of people (some maybe you didn't expect to see) are yelling surprise and taking pictures!
DH knew that I knew, but the story for my mom (who didn't know I knew) was while we were running errands, we were going to the golf course to book tee times for his Bachelor Party (my shower was at the clubhouse on the course).

FH taking me to lunch was the story and that's what confirmed it for me.
Sunday I really really wanted to go to the beach and I couldn't figure out why he wanted to go get an expensive lunch. We're in major money saving mode and it was such a beautiful day. When he turned down throwing a 6 pack in the cooler and grabbing sandwiches at th local Italian Deli and heading to the beach I knew something was up. It was a very good effort, usually on Sundays I'm game for brunch and a mimosa.

Part 2 - I think that they are going to tell me that my nephew's Baptism party is there.
That's the only reason I'm not sure that it is this weekend - no one has said anything definitive about it yet.
But my FSIL always waits until the last minute for everything, so they probably knew I would know if it was planned too far in advance.

I know mine is this weekend, too... process of elimination (wedding in 3 weeks), and the fact that people can't keep secrets.
I am in the same dilemma as you... I have to act surprise, because I know that the MOH would be disappointed that after all the hard work, someone had to mess it up @ the last minute. I'm still debating if I'll put the complete or if I'll laugh because I knew.. lol.

RE: part 2- We were going to FH's aunt's house to hosue in Massapequa to drop off the envelopes she was gpoing to calligraphy for us. so , i couldn't reallt get dressed up, it would have looekd to abvious.
Then she suggested we go to lunch. I was 75% positive it was my shower, but then when she startign dribing to 'a rstaraunt her friend reccomends' in Bethpage , instead of getting pizza or goign to American Burger or something, I was about 95% sure.
Apparently the first story was supposed to be we had to go check out RD locations, but I was relentless ( as FH says) about finding out about my shower, so I said to FH, 'my mom's probably going to insist we go look at RD restaurants to trivk me into going to my shower. . .' so he had to come up with something else!

FI, my brother and SIL tolf me we were going for Brunch and then to the zoo. Most of my BP, knew I knew but never said anything. FI tried to get my to change my outfit, he said I looked too dressed up to be going to the zoo

I knew also and some of my guests knew I knew. I walked in smiled and said hello to people. I was gonna act surprised but it didn't come naturally to me.
