if you live at home?

if you live at home?

Does your fh sleep over? If so where does he sleep? Also how does you rents feel about him sleeping over?

Before I bought a new bed I was able to put a cot in my room but now that I have a queens size bed there isn't any room for that. So now he will be sleeping in the bed. im not sure how my parents are going to feel. We go away together and they don't mind. My parents are just strict and im just afraid my rents are going to say something.

my FH lives 10 minutes away sooo there really is never a reason for him to sleep over ... i think if it snowed 10 feet he would prob be allowed to sleep over down stairs in my brothers room haha thats the kind of parents i have!

could he sleep on the couch in the livingroom? or in a guestroom? or in your brothers room? (if you have a brother)

before we move in together FH slept only twice in my house (once because of a storm) and he slept in the couch.

I still live at home with my mom, brother and sister, i am the youngest. We all pay rent at my house. FH stays over my house on friday and saturday nights, my mom doesn't say anything to me, because she feels that i pay to live here, so she will allow it. Also my sisters fh has been staying over long before i was with fh, so she really couldn't say anything to me.

Well it took 3 years for my parents to let FH sleep in my room and that was on the floor....so after 8 years he stays over almost every weekend and sleeps in my bed!!! but it took a long time.
Why don't you talk to your parents about it? Maybe they won't be so weird about it I mean you are getting married in less than a year.

Good Luck it's always akward the first few times but if they trust that you will respect their house
they may not weird about it.

He lives 5 minutes away so there's no point to him staying over, he has when we were leaving early to go somewhere but he stays on the couch

I usually stay by him on the weekends. My parents would not be down with him sleeping in my bed. and besides, for some reason the whole idea of him sleeping in my room with me while im still living at home just doesnt sit well with me, i think it would be SUPER awkward (for me at least)

Re: if you live at home?

FH only slept over a couple of times but not in my bed, once upstairs in the spare bedroom and once in my room on another bed. I tell him to sleep over all the time but he lives 15 minutes away so he never feels the need to. I've never slept over his house but we've gone away so many times and slept in the same bed so I don't think at this point if it would be a big deal to sleepover each others houses.

I think your parents will be ok with it.

FH and I live 40 minutes away from each other. His parents are fine with me sleeping in his bed but my parents are very old fashioned. When they are home FH sleeps in my sisters room(she moved out 2 years ago) and when they are away hes in the bed with me.....its like we're 16 not in our mid-late 20s getting married

FH doesn't sleep over, but he stays over so late he may as well. My parents are very strict, and his are fairly strict too. We can't even go away overnight. We end up sleeping in my basement, and waking up at 3 in morning and he goes home, which gets me nervous, because he lives half hour away, and usually late and nuts are on the road.

In the few times he has slept over, it was extenuating circumstances. Day before we had to leave house at 5AM to catch a ferry, day after the 5AM ferry lol, night of my sister's wedding, etc. Then he stayed on inflatable bed in basement, me in my own room.

FH & I both live with our parents..and we only live 7 houses away..
but i sleep over his house, in his bed, every friday and saturday night...and his parents have never had a problem with it.
at first my mom had a problem with me sleeping over his house, but then the idea grew on her. FH has only slept over my house 2 times when his house was getting work done to it, but my parents would not have a problem with him sleeping over again

Haha FH and I used to do the same thing... I lived like 40 mins from him so he'd stay til like 3am and then drive home.

Luckily I moved out about a year ago and am only 15 mins from him now.

I sure dont miss those days! Anytime we go to my parents house upstate, we sleep in separate rooms... we actually dont mind bc they are twin beds... We also still sleep in separate beds but in the same room when we go to my parents timeshare with them... Even though they are full size, we actually like sleeping apart LOL its nice to have that extra room! hheehehe

I still live home. FH lives in VA. When he comes to visit we put the old sofa bed mattress on my bedroom floor (I have a twin size bed). My parents are fine with that. And when I go visit FH, he has a queen size bed which we share. My parents were never the strict type. My brother who is 21 has his girlfriend sleep over in his bed with him. They've been doing that since high school. Not a big deal in my house.

fh has only slept once or twice on my couch and that was when he was too drunk to drive home ... he lives alone so i've slept at his house a few times (when my parents are on vacation) otherwise it is never aloud !!

FH has never slept over my house b/c we live less than 3 mins from each other.. but at times I may crash at his house and his mom used to be crazy about me staying over in his room but now we sleep in his bed and his mom doesnt care anymore...

Re: if you live at home?

I don't think my father will ever like it lolz..but my mom is pretty cool with it..

I met FH when I was 17..and it took a WHILE for me to convince them to let him sleep over..he lives 2hrs away in brooklyn though (long train ride) and my mom is a worrier lolz so I used that as my ammo. The first few times he slept over he'd have to stay in the living room...but little by little we'd just be hanging out in my room and we'd fall asleep , I was always a nite owl and so was he..so we'd seriously not be doing anything, we'd just fall out lolz...and then he basically moved in with me..and then we built a room in the basement for the both of us..so I guess my parents are ok with it..but then again, there's always a million people in my house, so we're still rarely 'alone' lolz...and my mom loves my FH more than I do! lolz
